Walking Works!
Darlene and I started off walking. We started with two blocks at a time, and added a block every week. After about two months, we were walking up to two miles a day! This was a great accomplishment for me, because I wouldn't walk to the corner store! But when I began to notice that I could walk up a flight of stairs and no feel like I was going to have a massive coronary, I was excited and surprised that I could walk that far, then I began to see and believe what was possible if I tried and worked hard. I discovered energy and strength that I didn't know I had, and begin to believe in myself in ways I hadn't before!
